Important Information

Tax Receipts:
Tax receipts are ready for pick up at the office.

Report Cards:
Report Cards go home today. Please ensure that you have signed off on the sign off sheet, and return to school.

United Day:
February 28th is Pink Shirt Day across Canada. Although every day at CCS is a bully-free day, we will support this day along with all schools. Students are invited to dress down (full dress down day) and wear a pink top. This month, we will be dedicating our United Day proceeds to Urban Safari Rescue Society. As most of you know, we adopted two wonderful Bearded Dragons from Urban Safari last year, and these two beardies bring an incredible amount of joy to all of our students. Urban Safari had a devastating fire last year, and still have not been able to open up to the public. They have many surrendered reptiles and animals that they care for, and rely solely on donations. Our Student Leadership Team would like to help them out by raising some money for them so they can continue to help all of the animals in their care. Thank you in advance for your generosity. https://urbansafari.ca/

Mite Boxes:
Your child has likely already come home with a mite box. Please place this box in your home during Lent in an area where it will be seen as a way to remind us during Lent that it is a time to do something for someone else. Encourage your children to give some of their birthday money, allowance, etc. to the mite boxes. Give up a coffee once in a while yourself and teach your children that the money you don't spend on coffee goes into the mite box. The money from the mite boxes goes directly to helping our Seminarians. This year Mr. Klaponski's son Jacob is one of those Seminarians.

Spring Performance:
The date of the Spring Performance has been moved to April 30th, due to conflict with CISVA badminton finals on the same day.

Lost and Found:
Please see here for the current lost and found items. Please note that all items left will be donated to charity on March 7th.

Parent Participation Update:

Families, there is roughly three months left to complete your parent participation hours. The deadline is May 31st, 2024. Families who have not completed their hours will be given an invoice and billed on June 14th 2024. The requirement is 34 regular hours and 6 maintenance hours for a total of 40 hours. Sign up for a workbee if you have not met your maintenance commitment!

Kindly note any ad hoc requests must be submitted within one month of completion. Ad hoc tasks are applicable when a task took longer than expected, or you did not sign up on the website in advance. Approval past the one month deadline is at the discretion of the coordinator.
