Important Upcoming Dates to Remember

Christmas Reminders

December can be quite busy and I know I can always use a gentle reminder so I don’t forget any events.  Here are the upcoming events you need to be aware of:

1)      Friday, December 6th is the Feast of St. Nicholas.  We are expecting a visit from St. Nick.  The children will leave their shoes in the hallway and St. Nick will leave a small treat.  The treats do not contain nuts, but may contain milk, eggs, soy, or wheat.  Please send an alternative treat if necessary due to food allergies.

2)      Our SVDP Society is working on it’s annual Christmas hamper drive.  A list of needed items was sent home, but another copy is below in case you need it.

3)      Some Grade Six students are hosting a Candy Cane sale on Thursday, December 12th.  They are raising money for the Langley Soup Kitchen that their class visited earlier this year.  The Candy Canes will cost $1.  The treats do not contain nuts, but may contain milk, eggs, soy, or wheat.

4)      Our annual Christmas Concert is on Tuesday, December 17th.  There will be two performances, 1pm and 7pm.  Students should arrive by 6:30pm for the 7pm performance.  All students are required to perform in both shows.

5)      The last day of school before Christmas Break is Friday, December 20th.  Dismissal will be at 12 noon that day.  Students will also be bringing home their First Term Self-Reflection on the Core Competencies.  Be sure to check it out.

Thank you for you attention to these important events.  Have a blessed and happy Advent!
