Spreading Colds and Flus

Parents,

I write to you today to ask for your assistance in stopping the spread of colds and flus at school. While we can’t always know when our children are going to come down with an illness, I urge you to be vigilant and take precautions not just for the sake of your own child, but for the sake of the teachers and other students as well.

If your child is showing any signs of illness like sneezing, coughing, fever, or upset stomach, please keep them home from school for at least a couple of days. Too many students are coming to school sick. The illnesses are then passed on to other students and eventually staff members as well. Today there are three staff members away sick and I am concerned there will be more.

Also, please always remind your kids to keep their hands out of their mouths, eyes, and noses, wash their hands frequently, and cough or sneeze into their elbow instead of onto their hands. We will be reiterating these lessons at school as well.

Thanks for your helping in combating these illnesses.

Sincerely,

Mr. Jason Borkowski

Principal
