United Day:
This month’s theme will be Character Day. Students ae welcome to come to school dressed as a character from their favourite movie, tv series or book. Please no inappropriate outfits. All proceeds to RCAV Birthright.
Spring Performance:
WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF SPONSORS!
April 30- 1:00pm Matinee, 6:00pm evening show- Cloverdale Catholic School's Spring Concert this year is a "Musical Journey Through Time" featuring each class, Choir, Band performances, singing and dancing. We are creating a show program and offering three types of Sponsorship:
Bronze - $25 (Business card size)
Silver - $50 (half a page)
Gold - $100 (full page)
Platinum - $100+
The deadline to confirm and send the digital graphic, as well as the funds to our school is by Monday, April 22.
Our Platinum sponsors are welcome to display their retractable banner (if they have one) in our Parish centre foyer at the concert.
Sponsorship funds go directly to the CCS Music Dept. for instruments (xylophones, percussion instruments, and sound/light equipment rentals)
Athletics:
A reminder that Road Runners starts at 8:20am and students should not be arriving before 8:15am as there is no supervision. Refer to Mr. K’s sheet for practice times. No students will be allowed into the school in the morning to pick up forgotten items. There has been a lot of interruption with students ringing the bell to come and get their runners, …
AGM: Our AGM will be on May 7th at 6:30pm in the school gym. Please note that parents are expected to come to this event as per Family Statement of Commitment. This year we are going to offer 1 hour of Parent Participation to all families that come, AND there will be a special wine draw at the end of the evening. A reminder that attendance is part of your Family Statement of Commitment.
Parent Participation Update:
Families, check your junk folders! Email reminders regarding low hours or maintenance hour requirements have been sent. The deadline to complete hours is only six weeks away. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities on the website. Track and field is up and running and requires the support from our parent community.
If you are unable to attend a volunteer shift, kindly remove yourself from the task with as much notice as possible. If there is more than 24 hours notice, the task can be reposted and hopefully a replacement can be found . If there is less than 24 hours notice, email the parent participation coordinator. Failure to report an absence will result in a no show fee of $25 per missed shift. Three no shows, and the family will be removed from the program and will have to pay out the remaining hours at the cost of $30 per missed regular hour and $60 per missed maintenance hour.
Ad hoc requests are tasks that you did not sign up for on the website or a task that took longer than expected. Please submit these within one month of completion for approval. Anything submitted beyond that date, and approval is at the discretion of the coordinator.
Lastly, please don't forget to sign in either on the clipboard or white binder. This makes verifying easy breezy!

Family Movie Night is on May 3rd: The movie that YOU voted for will be revealed next week when Concession pre-order slips go home.
It Bottle Refund Program:
All you need to do is visit any Return-It Express Location and enter the CCS phone number (604) 574-5151 at the kiosk. Print your labels, stick them on your empties & help CCS!
