Important Information

  • CCS Cross Country Meet Invitation
    Dear CCS Cross Country Families,

    We would like to invite you to our CCS Cross Country Meet on the school grounds.  We will be running races at 1:10pm on Monday, September 18th.  If you are available to watch and cheer for the athletes it would help make the experience of the run exciting.  Spectators are permitted on the sidewalk and in the slab behind the fence like last year.  The athletes’ classes will also be invited to cheer.  The event will begin with a welcome and opening prayer at 1pm.  At 1:10pm the gr 2s will run then the 3s @ 1:20pm, 4s @ 1:35pm,  5s @ 1:50pm,  6s+7s @ 2:10pm.

    Gr2         1.2 km   = 3 laps of our field

    Gr3         1.6 km   = 4 laps of our field

    Gr4/5     2.25 km = 5 laps of our field

    Gr6/7     2.88 km = 6 laps of our field

  • United Day- Proceeds to Terry Fox Foundation- Please bring a small donation in exchange for dressing down. Students are permitted to wear their PE strips today or any Terry Fox t-shirts if they own any. Please note the date change for this United Day, originally set for Friday, Sep. 22.

  • Student Health- We have already seen a high number of sick students. Please ensure that you keep your child(ren) home if they are sick. We are also reminding students at school to regularly wash their hands.

  • Cutlery for lunches- Parents, please remember to send cutlery to school with your child for their lunches. There are numerous students that are coming to the office asking for cutlery for their lunches.

  • Choir forms- The deadline to submit the permission form for Choir Members (Gr. 3 to 7) is Wed. Sept. 20th

    Keep selling those coupon books! Every book earns a prize. The top selling student will win 4 tickets to a Vancouver Giants Game & the top class will win a visit from Urban Safari!

    Coupon books can be sold until September 26th! Want to fulfill your orders sooner? The next Coupon Book Collection and Exchange will happen on Wednesday, September 20th. The PFG will be outside before and after school. Don't send your books to school, please bring them to the PFG table! 

    If you do not wish to participate in this fundraiser please return your coupon book to the PFG. All unsold coupon books must be returned by September 26th. Books can also be returned before and after school on the 20th.

    Spirit Wear:

    Order Deadline for Fall Spirit Wear is today - Friday, September 15th.

  • Parent Participation Weekly Report

    Parents please take a look at the availabe volunteer tasks on the website.  The school still needs help with the Cross Country track meet on Monday, September 18th.   If you do not have access to the website;

    Please note the update in the Parent Participation Program; this year CCS will be implementing a No show fee. 

    No Show Fee: In the case of a "No Show" to an assigned /registered and scheduled task, a $25 fee per task, per person will be implemented. A "No Show" is when a parent fails to participate in an assigned activity or task without any prior notice given to the organizer/coordinator of said activity or task.
